QBP-PH's bet is first winner of Miss Nature Intercontinental
Miss Nature Intercontinental is a pageant that “draws attention to environmental issues,” and aims to “promote healthy living, ecology, and ecological awareness,”
Sarah Christine Reyes Bona is the first winner of Miss Nature Intercontinental, which was held in Szczecin, Poland from September 4 to 10. Bona was asked how people can take care of rain forests during the pageant’s question and answer round. “In our environment, the biggest problem is us. Yes, we may be the biggest threat, but we can also be its savior… [We can save rain forests by] raising awareness through information dissemination, through education, and sharing ideas through social media. With all those collective efforts, we, too, can save the world,” she said.
Bona, a 26-year-old caregiver, midwife, nurse, and businesswoman from Iriga, Camarines Sur was also sent by QBP Philippines organization to Vietnam for Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 and she was able to get in the Top 5.
